Time marches on

Well, Battlestar Galactica is gone. One of the finest programs ever on television has now been retired. I cried immensely during the finale. I can’t even try to pretend I didn’t. Though everything was tied together in a completely satisfying way my sadness over took my enjoyment because it is so rare for a program to be this consistently good. I will miss it. And though I will watch the upcoming Caprica on Sci-fi, it will not hold the same feeling for me. I loved this cast, each one brought depth which could only be dreamt of on other programs.

On the CW surprisingly is a phenomenal show called Supernatural. The show successfully pairs horror, humor, action, and two of the best looking brothers that ever crossed my television screen. Check it out.

My baby girl puppy Marci celebrated her 12th birthday this past weekend. I am truly blessed for every second of our lives together. How many times in life do we get to say that loving someone has brought nothing but happiness? Not very often.

Negativity

I guess it is just me but the willingness of people to believe any lie they hear astounds me. Especially when they are so willing to jump on board for a particularly disgusting lie. Rumors get started and as long as they are the nasty kind people believe it 100%. But you can bet those same people would never admit to believing if it was a good story. I do not understand people. Sometimes I am happy with me and my dog. :-)

The summer movie season is here. So far all good experiences with the movies I have seen. Need more horror flicks though. Haha

Some things just suck.

There are television shows that outlast their creative welcome. I am thinking that maybe Lost has gotten there. I just am not as interested as I once was in the show. First of all I do not like Ben, the actor who portrays him is so annoying. It’s like he thinks he is Kevin Spacey but without being a good actor. Also the time travel thing is kinda stupid right now. I am hopeful that it will end up being worth it because sometimes this show is brilliant. No matter what I will be watching as long as Jack is front & center. Which will probably be till the end.

Another show I was feeling disgruntled about is Smallville. After a strong first half of the season there was an arc which totally had me disliking Clark again. Of course it concerned Lana, but thankfully that ridiculously bad written character is gone. The next few eps sound great so hopefully the rest of the season will make up for the setback.

One show that never gets old or disappoints is Battlestar Galactica. Only 4 episodes left and I am steady feeling the loss of the absolute best show I have ever seen.

Pride

Haven’t posted in a while. I love saying this – Barack Obama is going to be president of the united states. For the first time in many, many years I have hope about the future of this country. It’s very exciting that a man who is unlike any leader in our country’s history will be in charge. I feel like this could be a whole new beginning for us Americans. A leader to be proud of, not ashamed by, never thought it would happen.

Oh yeah, I am completely engrossed in the twilight phenomenon. It’s like I can’t quit this fandom. And the sequels are already off the ground.

VOTE!!!

Today is so important. We are at a point where things HAVE to change. There has to be a huge change in our government and I finally think we have a candidate who will look out for us all in Obama. He embodies all the hope and energy that the great John Fitzgerald Kennedy had. I think this could be another Camelot with amazing new possibilites for peace and prosperity.

The time is at hand for life in america to change for the better. To actually become the country everyone looks up to again. Just vote people, our country and the world’s peace hang in the balance.

This is… different

Typing this from my iPhone 3g. Seems like I have not had enough time to spend here lately. I plan on revamping my site. BTW the iPhone is one of the coolest gadgets I have ever purchased.

Debt consolidation
We are in a difficult situation as a society. Money is tight for most of us but there are things that we require in life so having credit cards to help out is a necessity. Unfortunately, it is so very easy to get in over your head with credit card bills, mortgages, etc. The percentage rates and fees can multiply so fast that you find yourself in a sea of never ending debt. Sometimes a little Credit counseling goes a long way.

So when I went to take my Bills IQ test, the information I learned will prove valuable for some time to come. The questions that you are asked are very non invasive, just basic information giving the test the necessary info to tell you how you came out. My grade was just a C, but I have gained valuable information that will hopefully stay with me from here on out. For instance, we should always pay off the highest interest credit cards first, then work on the others in order. Everyone needs a budget, that is something else that I will get to work on thanks to this quiz. I also picked up that I should be saving ten percent of my salary. All in all this is valuable information.

If you are like me, constantly worried about your financial future, then you should definitely check out Bills IQ and get all the information that you need to ensure a worry free existence.

The best ones never last.

I recently discovered the television show Moonlight, that was on CBS last season. I had never caught it while it is on tv but caught it this week. I really enjoyed it, the characters were very compelling, and I found myself watching one after the other. What is most distressing though is that the show is apparently not coming back for a 2nd season. Like so many other shows that I have enjoyed previously, they never get the chance to fully come into their own concerning their plotlines. Shows like Invasion, Surface and now Moonlight are never give the chance to fulfill the possibilites that they had shown. Not much you can do, but it seems there is little place on television anymore for anything other than reality tv. Which means I will be tuning out more and more. Reality tv is just not for me, to put it lightly.

A new life awaits.

Sick and tired of business as usual.

I am truly outraged by the media and the public for getting so involved in the news about John Edwards’ maritial indiscretions. I do not believe that we have the right to know his business. And the fact that this is getting such coverage in a world where REAL political issues need to be addressed is disturbing to say the least. Whether or not someone cheats on their wife is none of our business. I had hoped that after allowing the issue of gay marriage decide 2004′s election, that we would have learned that REAL issues count, not personal problems of someone. Let’s all remember that the issues bearing down are not to be overlooked by such trivial stories.
