Well, Battlestar Galactica is gone. One of the finest programs ever on television has now been retired. I cried immensely during the finale. I can’t even try to pretend I didn’t. Though everything was tied together in a completely satisfying way my sadness over took my enjoyment because it is so rare for a program to be this consistently good. I will miss it. And though I will watch the upcoming Caprica on Sci-fi, it will not hold the same feeling for me. I loved this cast, each one brought depth which could only be dreamt of on other programs.

On the CW surprisingly is a phenomenal show called Supernatural. The show successfully pairs horror, humor, action, and two of the best looking brothers that ever crossed my television screen. Check it out.

My baby girl puppy Marci celebrated her 12th birthday this past weekend. I am truly blessed for every second of our lives together. How many times in life do we get to say that loving someone has brought nothing but happiness? Not very often.

There are television shows that outlast their creative welcome. I am thinking that maybe Lost has gotten there. I just am not as interested as I once was in the show. First of all I do not like Ben, the actor who portrays him is so annoying. It’s like he thinks he is Kevin Spacey but without being a good actor. Also the time travel thing is kinda stupid right now. I am hopeful that it will end up being worth it because sometimes this show is brilliant. No matter what I will be watching as long as Jack is front & center. Which will probably be till the end.

Another show I was feeling disgruntled about is Smallville. After a strong first half of the season there was an arc which totally had me disliking Clark again. Of course it concerned Lana, but thankfully that ridiculously bad written character is gone. The next few eps sound great so hopefully the rest of the season will make up for the setback.

One show that never gets old or disappoints is Battlestar Galactica. Only 4 episodes left and I am steady feeling the loss of the absolute best show I have ever seen.

Wow

I am truly amazed by Smallville last night. I had  to watch the episode twice just to let it all sink in. If you have ever watched the show before but tend to tune out due to the repetition, I strongly suggest finding a way to catch last night’s episode. Because Lex Luthor has arrived fully in Smallville. He is not teetering on being the wanna be good guy anymore, he has fully embraced who he is and it is awesome. LOL I cannot wait to see where they will be leading him for the rest of the season. I was thoroughly impressed and excited by these events, even though they killed one of the best characters on the program. But to finally see Lex being the evil monster he is supposed to be it makes it all worth it. Michael Rosenbaum was never better as Lex and his scenes with Tom Welling’s Clark were so engrossing and full of tension, they were both fantastic to watch.

New Battlestar Galactica tonight, and still no HD to watch it in. :(

Battlestar Galactica came back last Friday night with a spectacular season premiere. You never know if even the best shows will not always be as good as you want them to be. Of all the shows I have watched in my old age this show is the only one I can be pretty sure about NOT disappointing me. I like a lot of programming but this one will always stand above and beyond anything before or after in terms of consistent quality. I will be so very sorry to see it go away…

Unfortunately I have not as of yet been able to see it in HD. Dish Network is going to be broadcasting a slew of new HD channels soon, so let’s hope it is before Battlestar goes off the air. ;) I am dying to see it in HD. I would also love, love, love for Dish to get locals in my area, but that is another story. LOL

My angelic dog turns 11 tomorrow. Hard to imagine it has been 11 years with her. Seems like yesterday I picked up that little puppy for the first time. 11 perfect years. Probably the only thing in my life that will ever be constantly perfect & a complete joy. Happy Birthday Marci, Mommy loves you!!!!!!!!!

In early April, Battlestar Galactica will begin it’s first half of the final season ever of the show. I am both elated to see what happens and frightened by the idea that such a terrific program will be done. I bought the season 3 dvds and am now anxiously awaiting the answers to the many intriguing questions left from the finale. Whatever happens next I know that it will be fantastic. Honestly, this is the only show on tv that I have absolute faith in. April cannot get here fast enough.

I saw  the bootleg trailer on line for the new X-Files movie. It looks great, I only hope that my favorite character ever, Mulder, will be done justice on screen. After the disaster that was seasons 8 & 9, being a bit hesitant to have absolute faith in 1013 is a given for me. But I do have faith that David Duchovny knows Mulder and would not have done this movie if he thought Mulder was not getting his due.  Gonna be a great summer for movies. :)

So the high def race is over with Blu-Ray the clear winner. As soon as Warner Bros announced that they would no longer be producing HD-DVD disc things just seemed to fall into place rather fast. As soon as that announcement was made I started looking at which Blu-Ray player I would purchase. And about a month ago I got it. It is really a beautiful picture. Not to be compared to standard definition DVD players at all. The menus have more to offer as well. Of course as soon as I got it my surround sound system died on me so *that* had to be replaced also. Isn’t that always the case? But it was worth it because the sound is so crystal clear on the newer receivers. Anyway, if you are thinking of going Blu-ray, I will recommend it highly.

I am very, very, very excited that finally on Tuesday the 3rd season of Battlestar Galactica will be out on DVD. This show is without a doubt in my mind the most brilliant show ever created. There is nothing lacking in the storytelling genius’ who created it. If you have never watched pick up the DVDs and the other 2 seasons are also out so be sure to pick them up too. This show is so plot driven and intricate you cannot just start watching without seeing the episodes  before it. Brilliantly smart, is a description I would use. And the first part of the final season, :( , will be airing in April.

Almost time for "Heroes". Tomorrow or today rather, starts a whole new season of the show. I don’t have much to say tonight but I am excited to see what happens next. I hope that Peter and Nathan survived the mind-blowing finale. ;)

It will be a long wait for what in my humble opinion is the best show ever created, "Battlestar Galactica". The show itself won’t be back on until next year but there will be a tv movie coming in the fall. Anything to do with this program is going to be terrific. And it is just as long a wait for "Lost" to come back. I seriously miss Jack.

I love the tv show Lost. I think it is one of the best on right now. That may not be saying much because there are so many of those stupid reality shows where people are doing anything to have their 15 minutes, usually without any talent at all. (If I want reality I can not watch tv.) But back to Lost. I am happy that we will get a no rerun season in 2008 but right now it looks like it is so far away. I miss Jack Shepard. I thought last season started off extremely bad, but once they came back from winter break the show never stopped getting better. Of course now that I am excited about the show again we have to wait longer. ;)

2008 is also when, in my opinion, the best show ever created, Battlestar Galactica, will be back on. For what is apparently the final season. I guess I feel so very mixed on this because I do want the show to end before it gets silly (Smallville, anyone?), but at the same time it is brilliant and I will miss it terribly.
