It seems like yesterday that I was 18. Now I am looking down the barrel of being over 35. What happened? Can’t say it’s been the best time getting her but there has been good points. Also lots of bad spots, more than enough. If only I could do it all over again. So many choices that were made without thinking. There’s nothing to be done now but it definitely weighs on my mind. Anyway.. onward.
Final season of Smallville is coming. Can’t imagine that I would ever cry as much as I did when Lost ended. I wept uncontrollably at the end. Still love you Jack!
I can’t even begin to imagine how close we are getting to the final Lost. I wish I knew exactly how it ended. I’m a spoiler junkie like that. I need to know. Chances are even if I did I still would be surprised with the way it looks onscreen. It’s so hard to believe that before May is over I will have seen my last new glimpse of Jack Shephard. I don’t know how to take that. I am glad the show is ending before it becomes too ridiculous but I will miss wondering what they will do next. Now it’s just to wait for the final “Lost” credits to run to see just what will happen to the legendary characters. Goodbye Jack, you will always be loved by this fan.

Matthew Fox, "Jack"
Strange as it sounds I love being the confusion of watching Lost. Just never knowing what to expect. This is the last season for the show I do think they are trying to answer questions but it would take a much more intelligent person to be able to figure out where the show is going. All I know is that I love Jack and ultimately want some happiness for this character. He is a worthy man who has done everything possible since the beginning to help all of the other survivors make it. I just want him happy when it’s over. Oh and Terry O’Quinn deserves an Emmy for his performance this season. Amazing.
There are television shows that outlast their creative welcome. I am thinking that maybe Lost has gotten there. I just am not as interested as I once was in the show. First of all I do not like Ben, the actor who portrays him is so annoying. It’s like he thinks he is Kevin Spacey but without being a good actor. Also the time travel thing is kinda stupid right now. I am hopeful that it will end up being worth it because sometimes this show is brilliant. No matter what I will be watching as long as Jack is front & center. Which will probably be till the end.
Another show I was feeling disgruntled about is Smallville. After a strong first half of the season there was an arc which totally had me disliking Clark again. Of course it concerned Lana, but thankfully that ridiculously bad written character is gone. The next few eps sound great so hopefully the rest of the season will make up for the setback.
One show that never gets old or disappoints is Battlestar Galactica. Only 4 episodes left and I am steady feeling the loss of the absolute best show I have ever seen.
It is such a mixed bag that Lost came back last Thursday. Even though it kicked butt, and it did, with the writers’ strike there will only be about 8 episodes this season. That was what I heard anyway. And only 8 episodes of this show sucks. Seriously. Everyone was terrific as usual. I even cried a couple of times when the survivors were dealing with the death that happened at the end of last season. I am so very curious as to what the heck is so bad in the future though. It seems like something is just eating up the ones who made it back home. Matthew Fox ruled, no surprise there. It should be a great season, if shortened.
January 31 Jack is back! Yes, finally a new, if shortened, season of Lost is coming. And from the sounds of the spoilers it will be terrific. I have to say that season 3 started off with a whimper. But by mid season the show was back to being brilliant. Seems like Season 4 will be just as shocking and thrilling. I am a spoiler freak so let me say to those who are wondering, this looks to be a fantastic season! Go to Lost Media for all your Lost needs. And welcome back one of the finest shows on TV.
It is like Christmas came a week early for me. Lost will be back on Jan 31!! I was really thinking it would return in February. I don’t know why they changed their minds but I am so very ready to see Jack again. I am anxiously awaiting my Season 3 dvds (they are a Christmas gift thankfully). So that I can be all caught up before they bring it back. Now if only the studios would get on the stick and settle the writers’ strike, things would be right in the tv/movie world again.
Also, Smallville’s fall finale was great. The ending was totally unexpected, though not for me as I am a spoiler freak. I am anxious to see what happens when they come back to Clark. Should be interesting as another terrific villain comes back to the show.
With the recent Writer’s strike going on in the entertainment industry I am left to wonder about something everyone thinks about, will someone fight on the picket line? You see it, oddly enough, in movies all the time where someone tries to cross the picket line and chaos ensues. Tear gas goes flying from the police presence and people get arrested. I would hope that this one is less dramatic in that way.
While I do think that people in the business get paid more than enough the writers do have some valid points behind them. Personally I think truly creative and ingenious people are getting screwed thanks to reality tv. Those shows are so inane and simple that there is no way anyone with a little bit of a brain could work on them. I truly despise the dumbing down of our society and I think reality tv is a big part of that.
I know that movies are probably not going to suffer, there are tons of scripts, it seems already in the works so the public won’t likely notice much difference at the cinema. But on tv, that is something different. I would imagine television producers are sweating wondering what they will do with a much shorter television season. I am particularly thinking of a show like the brillian "Lost" which won’t even be back on until February. Just how many episodes are already written and just how short would the season be for us viewers? Hopefully, the writers can get what they want and everyone, including us who pay them, will be happy.
Almost time for "Heroes". Tomorrow or today rather, starts a whole new season of the show. I don’t have much to say tonight but I am excited to see what happens next. I hope that Peter and Nathan survived the mind-blowing finale.
It will be a long wait for what in my humble opinion is the best show ever created, "Battlestar Galactica". The show itself won’t be back on until next year but there will be a tv movie coming in the fall. Anything to do with this program is going to be terrific. And it is just as long a wait for "Lost" to come back. I seriously miss Jack.
I love the tv show Lost. I think it is one of the best on right now. That may not be saying much because there are so many of those stupid reality shows where people are doing anything to have their 15 minutes, usually without any talent at all. (If I want reality I can not watch tv.) But back to Lost. I am happy that we will get a no rerun season in 2008 but right now it looks like it is so far away. I miss Jack Shepard. I thought last season started off extremely bad, but once they came back from winter break the show never stopped getting better. Of course now that I am excited about the show again we have to wait longer.
2008 is also when, in my opinion, the best show ever created, Battlestar Galactica, will be back on. For what is apparently the final season. I guess I feel so very mixed on this because I do want the show to end before it gets silly (Smallville, anyone?), but at the same time it is brilliant and I will miss it terribly.
